Pajama Professional: Meme: 5 Questions About You

I love the library story, Sara. It's always nice to take a trip down memory lane. :) (incidentally, a trip down memory lane would probably make for a good meme).

As I said in my post, I certainly seem to prefer the writing style of female bloggers. I'm really not sure what the difference is between those female bloggers and the male bloggers. I just guess I enjoy the writing style much more.

For what it's worth, one of the reasons I like blogging so much is because it isn't a male dominated industry. At least not as dominated as other online industries are, such as Web hosting and Web development. I'm not sucking up to the females of the world (honest!). It's just nice to have a different view on the world, as opposed to the usual beer and bum talk.

    Jamie,

I actually wrote a post for Pureblogging awhile back about how blogging is male-dominated. However, I am finding that is really only true in the "make money online" and "blogging about blogging" niche.

You are right that most tech fields are male-dominated. The IT department I work in as a business systems analyst (the 9 to 5) has a total of 9 people: 6 male, 3 female. I think that will change as the old school ideas of girls being better at english and boys being better at math further disappear. I mean, we did grow up in an era where a Barbie was mad that said: "Math is hard!" =)
