Hi,
It is still in beta so there’s a chance you’ll run into some bugs, but I haven’t. What I have found, though, is that this is the best SPAM filter I have ever used! It integrates itself in your menu bar and “learns” more about what you want and what you don’t by whether you “tell it” that an email is Legitimate or SPAM. Thanks for the nice post.

Have you used gmail? It's a lower tech solution ... but a better one. In the interest of full disclosure, though, I'm not sure why anybody uses Outlook? I use it, at work, because I'm forced to, and have to admit the calendar integration is pretty nice. Gmail has the same feature, but when an entire office coalesces around a particular system ... it's hard to change that.

Anyway, gmail has the best spam filter I've ever seen. I've been using it for close to five years, and have only ever seen one false positive ( legitimate email flagged as spam ), out of countless thousands. This includes email from random members of the public, as one of the comments above me is worried about.

It's also much faster than Outlook running on the desktop.

I just use webmail like Yahoo and Google. Both have great spam filters and my yahoo address is over 10 years old and does get tons of spam. It just goes neatly into the spam box which i do quickly scan to make sure nothing vital is in there. When I verify everything I want is on the server and no spam, then I use Outlook and download it all to my archive about once a month.

interesting. i can imagine that dealing with spam using rules must have been quite messy. :O product sounds really promising though. will give it a look. thanks for the heads up. :)

In a weird way, I like the spam. I win 30 million euro in the morning, get offers of free viagra all morning and cheap mortgages in the evening. I don't need a clock, just those emails to tell me what time it is :)

I've used a few SPAM filters, and without fail they end up taking quite a few legitimate mails with them.

Because of the nature of business I'm in (selling Real Estate in Myrtle Beach), I need to be able to accept random emails from people I've never met.

I advertise all over the internet, so when someone clicks through to contact me, I need to know that it's not going to end up in an overzealous spam filter.

I'll try out Spam Free Outlook on one of my personal addresses, but for now, I'm sticking to the "take it all" approach on my business email.

My address is the catch-all account for the domain too, just in case someone misspells it. Yes, I'm a glutton for Spam punishment.

If we have new tools to handle spam, spammers always have new techniques to spam. I think this war will be continuing till end of the world and internet. I am wondering to think that who will be the winner?

Excellent work - I have been using spamfighter which does a pretty good job though after the trial period all your emails have got the spamfighter information at the bottom of the email which makes it a bit naff.

I'll give this one a whirl

Spam is a major problem for E-mail users, so thank you for sharing this tool.

I use spam assassin on the server and The Bat! for an E-mail client. Spam Assassin takes care of most of the spam, but not all of it. With the malicious code being distributed by E-mail Spam, we must protect ourselves any way possible.
