    Golf Clubs -

Once you release your ebook based on my re-purposed content I am going to record myself reading it and sell the MP3s and video files as a master course for $777!!

Thanks for letting me know your plan so I'm sure to watch out for your ebook. =)

Ugh. I'm a one time victim of just such a ploy and wasn't at all happy for having made the purchase. Don't get me wrong, there was some useful information, but it was just a rehash (word for word) of something I'd read online already.

Never again. Nor, now that I've read this, will I victimize my own readers. I have this strange hangup of wanting to be successful honestly (probably means I'm doomed to fail). :)

I've found that this only works for offering free ebooks- the ones I pay money for I like to have a majority of unique content in them. Perhaps, the best is to use one or two posts and expand on them for the e-book. That way the posts become ideal marketing tools, 'sneak peaks' of the ebook itself...

but this does require much more work./..

A friend asked me if I'd be able to write an application that will take a text file or dump of some sort, scrape an online thesaurus, and then replace some of the words in his document with synonyms. I think I just figured out why...!

Okay, you had me in stitches! You know, we think a lot a like. I can't tell you how often I have purchased an eBook, only to discover it was content I had read, not once, but many times, on the web.

Love the tongue in cheek tone.

    Still laughing...

I had a lot of fun writing the post. I'm also amused by the few comments I have gotten that says "great idea, thanks." LOL! I'm heading off to check out your blog now... =)

I think the thing that makes stuff truly successful are the things that are unique and new, or a new way of looking at things, offering a fresh perspective.

It's funny how many of us sat in english classes thinking hwo much writing sucked and now we are doing it all the time.

As a programmer now I love taking people's problems and turning them into scripts and applications. I was the kid that always loved the story problems and could get the equations out of them easily.

LOL!!!!! You nearly got me on this one. I love this kind of stuff...I've built an entire blog around satirizing all of the "make money online" foolishness out there. Check it out whenever you get the chance...no pressure, it doesn't have Adsense on it or anything (LOL).
